Cheryl works with organizations, as well as individuals in various stages of transition, helping them to realize their fullest potential. Cheryl brings over 20 years cross-functional experience having worked in corporate and non-profit organizations. She is a former Community Development and Fundraising Professional and worked with some of the largest non-profit organizations in Canada, including United Way Toronto, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and Alternate Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (ADRIO). Cheryl is a graduate of the University of the West Indies (Trinidad), where she studied Business Management and George Brown College, Toronto with a Diploma (Honours) in Career & Work Counselling. She completed courses in Conflict Resolution, Graphic Facilitation and Image Consulting. Cheryl has been the keynote speaker/presenter at over 200 events across Canada and the Caribbean. She has spoken at schools, galas, community, sports and other top fundraising initiatives. As an advocate for women's health and empowerment, she has a particular interest in diseases of the female reproductive system, such as *breast cancer, fibroids and endometriosis. Cheryl is passionate about diversity, accessibility and inclusion. She brings years of leadership experience through her engagement on various Boards and Committees. She is a former Respect In The Workplace Policy Advisor/Mediator and Union Representative on behalf of United Way. In 2006, she served as Campaign Chair for the United Way Toronto employee campaign, which raised over $144,000. Cheryl believes in women and youth leadership and empowerment. She challenges herself and others to move beyond their comfort zone and follow their dreams. In 2017, she led by example, running for Interim Toronto City Councillor in Scarborough-Rouge. This led to her involvement in the Women Win Toronto program, which trains women to run for office, and subsequently as a candidate in the 2018 Municipal Election.
